Public invited to weigh-in on the 2016-2018 Conservation and Load Management Plan
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – March 24, 2015 – The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board (EEB) is holding a public input session for the 2016-2018 Conservation and Load Management Plan.
The session will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Gina McCarthy Auditorium, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT.
The EEB welcomes input as part of its collaborative process with utility companies, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), the Connecticut Green Bank, interested stakeholders and the general public, for formulating the 2016-2018 Conservation and Load Management Plan (Plan). This Plan will provide recommendations to DEEP and the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority about the allocation of Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund resources for energy efficiency programs and related activities.
The EEB is interested in receiving public comments on what should be included in the Plan, and on what key issues the EEB should take into consideration in developing the Plan. The current three-year Plan (2013-2015) and related information may be found online at: http://energizect.com/about/eeboard/plans.
Established through CGS 16-245m, the EEB is comprised of ten voting members representing business and consumer interests as well as state agencies, and five non-voting representatives of the state’s electric and gas utilities. It advises and assists the utilities in the development and implementation of Connecticut’s energy efficiency and load management plans.
A record of public input becomes part of the Plan itself. Therefore, it is very important that commenters provide written input, preferably in advance of the session. Presentations during the public input session should be no longer than seven minutes.
