Contest open to all North Branford families with children of all ages (K-12)


WHAT: Energize Connecticut is encouraging North Branford families to participate in the family team contest. The contest is open to all North Branford families with children of all ages (K-12). All families are limited to one entry and participants can choose one of the following contests. 

1. Drawing Contest: Draw a picture that shows what a clean energy North Branford neighborhood or house may look like in the year 2025. Make sure the poster showcases energy efficiency practices. Drawings may include but are not limited to solar panels, windmills, ENERGY STAR® appliances, etc. Be creative and show your smarts in saving energy.

2. Commercial Contest: Create a short video such as a commercial, movie trailer or an interview showcasing energy efficient practices as well as clean energy. The number of practices showcased is up to you! Have fun and show your smarts on clean energy!

3. Picture Collage Contest: Go on an adventure and take photos with clean energy practices, appliances, or machines. Pictures may include but are not limited to solar panels, windmills, ENERGY STAR appliances, clean energy museum exhibits, etc.  Make a collage of the collected photographs, and explain under each photo in a few short sentences the benefits of the clean energy practice, appliance, or equipment. Collages made online through Flipagram will also be accepted.
