As part of the Energize Connecticut Center’s Family Night Series, students and families are invited to enjoy an evening exploring science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) with Connecticut STEM Academy on Friday, February 10. 


The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Energize Connecticut Center, 122 Universal Drive North, North Haven (next to Panera Bread in the Target Plaza). It is free of charge and open to the public.


During the evening’s activities, guests will have hands-on experiences in each of the STEM subjects. Activities include:


  • Controlling a Sphero Robotic Ball
  • Learning to code using an Ozobot, a small, smart toy robot
  • Participating in environmentally-friendly STEM challenges
  • Creating STEM-related take-home projects




Additionally, guests will be able to explore the Energize Connecticut Center, learn about their environmental impact on the world and identify creative solutions to help make a difference every day.


The Energize Connecticut Center’s Family Night Series is designed to provide entertainment for children of all ages and their families, while simultaneously learning about the impact we have on the planet and ways to be more energy efficient. The next event will be a “Go Green” craft night on Friday, March 24.
