On Friday, January 20, the Energize Connecticut Center invites children and their families to escape the cold and enjoy a screening of the popular Disney/Pixar film, WALL-E for its first ever Family Night event. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Center, 122 Universal Drive North, North Haven (next to Panera Bread in the Target Plaza). It is free of charge and open to the public.

WALL-E portrays a future where mankind has abandoned Earth because it is covered in trash and devoid of plant and animal life. After the movie, children can help build a robot out of recycled materials and see real robots in action.

All are encouraged to wear their most comfortable lounge wear or pajamas while watching the movie. Refreshments including hot chocolate and popcorn will be served.

The Energize Connecticut Center’s Family Night Series is designed to provide entertainment for children of all ages and their families while simultaneously educating them on the impact our energy consumption has on the planet, and ways to be more energy efficient. The next events will be a STEM night on February 10 and a “Go Green” craft night on March 17.
