Contractors participating in the Energize CT Heat Pump Installer Network are independent, licensed, insured, and actively engaged with the Energize CT Residential HVAC Program.
Participating Heat Pump Installers have access to:
- Residential rebates and financing
- Listing on EnergizeCT.com
- Customer brochures and sales tools
- Continued learning/training resources
- Virtual training through the eLearning Center
- ASHP Quality Installation Check-list
- Monthly program e-newsletter
- Program updates
- Notice of upcoming industry training opportunities
In order to join the Heat Pump Installer Network, contractors must submit:
- Signed copy of the Energize CT Heat Pump Installer Participation Agreement
- Relevant licenses and certificates
- Certification of industry training:
- Air source heat pump primary installers must provide
- Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Section 608 Technician Certification, Type II, or Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification
- Certificate of heat pump installation training provided by a manufacturer
- Ground source heat pump primary installers must provide either an International Ground-Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) accredited installer certificate or Certification as a GeoExchange Designer (CGD) from IGSHPA
- Air source heat pump primary installers must provide
Within the first year of participation, all primary installers must provide a certificate of completion for cold climate heat pump sizing and design training by a manufacturer and complete all assigned heat pump training via the eLearning Center.
